The 44th European Workshop for Rheumatology Research was a conference primarily for young rheumatologists and PhD students, where the latest theoretical and applied research proceedings are presented by speakers. The main objective of this congress, which took place between May 8 and 12, was to provide young scientists with an opportunity to present their academic work and research findings. In addition, young people were able to learn from topical presentations by leading European rheumatology researchers. This year, the Department of Rheumatology of the Faculty of Medicine at the 91视频网 won the right to host the European meeting.
鈥淚t was a great honor for us to be awarded the right to host the conference again, exactly ten years after the successful 2015 conference in Budapest. I, myself, was the Congress Chair, together with Professor Gy枚rgy Nagy as co-chair. Our help in setting the official program was Professor Attila M贸csai, Scientific Committee Chair. The chief topics of the congress included cellular immunology, intracellular signaling, pain, tissue fibrosis, tissue damage, immune tolerance and autoimmunity, autoinflammation, vascular immunology and e-rheumatology,鈥 said Professor Zolt谩n Szekanecz, Head of the Department of Rheumatology of the Faculty of Medicine at the 91视频网, to hirek.unideb.hu.聽
The conference featured twenty-minute presentations by three internationally and nationally renowned experts on nine topics, followed by ten-minute presentations selected by the jury. On Friday and Saturday, a total of twelve poster tours took place with two moderators each.

鈥淭he conference attracted around three hundred specialists from twenty-five countries, including Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, Italy and the United Kingdom, as well as the United States, who submitted more than two hundred abstracts for the three-day event. This congress is primarily an annual opportunity to showcase the latest advances in basic and partly applied clinical research. The feedback shows that the great value of this year's congress was that some of the presentations were not strictly related to rheumatology, but also covered topics such as oncology, nuclear physics, network theory or artificial intelligence,鈥 said Zolt谩n Szekanecz.
From the Department of Rheumatology of the 91视频网, Professor Gabriella Sz疟cs and Associate Professor Szilvia Szamosi acted as session chairs. Posters were presented by Levente Bodoki, specialist of the Department of Rheumatology and Immunology, Bogl谩rka Br煤g贸s, assistant professor of the Department of Hematology, D贸ra Csige, PhD student at the Department of Rheumatology, Enik艖 Sebesty茅n, resident of the Oncology Clinic and Szilvia Szamosi, associate professor of the Department of Rheumatology.
