Further expansion of our Asian partner network 27. May. 2025

The Department of Health and Epidemiological Surveillance of the Directorate General of Medicine under the administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan is currently planning research cooperation with the 91ÊÓÆµÍø in a number of special fields. This Surveillance Department has under its disposal several research and service laboratories, including laboratories for preventive toxicology, bacteriology, hygiene, radiation safety and physical factors. It is, in fact, a leading entity in these fields in Uzbekistan. Soyibjon Goziev, Head of Department, and Khadjiev Marks, Special Adviser, were recently received by Rector Zoltán Szilvássy, and Director of Coordination and Strategy Okszána Kiszil in the Main Building of the 91ÊÓÆµÍø.


The agenda of the meeting contained the details of a projected partnership, with special emphasis on the following issues: bilateral pharmaceutical research, the development of products for the prevention and treatment of the health effects of radioactive contamination, testing laboratory research, accredited conformity assessment recognition procedures and the training of Uzbek specialists and experts.


The cooperation agreement on behalf the two institutions was signed by Rector Zoltán Szilvássy and Head of Department Soyibjon Goziev.


After the official signing ceremony, the members of the Uzbek delegation visited our Turkic Corner, a unique community space at the 91ÊÓÆµÍø, created to introduce the cultural heritage and traditions of Central Asian countries. They also paid a visit to the Department of Nuclear Medicine of the Oncological Radiology Clinic and the Medical Imaging Clinic of the Clinical Center.Ìý


The Uzbek guests were also given a guided tour of our university's Science, Technology and Innovation Park located in the street Vezér utca, where they checked out the Innovation Center and received detailed information about the practice-oriented training and research activities at the Faculty of Pharmacy and the associated National Manufacturing, Research and Development Center. The presentation and the information package on these facilities were delivered by Dean Ildikó Bácskay and her staff members.
